Influence of Leading and Trailing Edge Angle on Impeller Blades of a Pump as Turbine

چکیده
A pump as turbine (PAT) is a turbomachine that converts hydraulic energy into electricity. One of the study topics in PAT efficiency due to centrifugal pumps are not designed operate reverse mode. Geometric variations impeller have been studied literature. However, it was possible evidence influence inclination blade leading and trailing edge. Therefore, objective this work analyze numerically fluid dynamically angle edge pump, First, characteristic curve validated. Then, modified, range 25° 90°, obtaining head, efficiency, power graph. As result, mode evidenced an close 90° on provides higher 50.26% decreases until 40.77% when approaches 30°, reducing head around 20%, while remained constant. In mode, inverse effect obtained, where maximum 60.9% generated increased up 4.76 kW angular variation adequate there loss capacity.

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

متن کاملGAS-LIQUID FLOW IN STIRRED REACTORS: Trailing Vortices and Gas Accumulation behind Impeller Blades
In a gas-liquid stirred reactor, gas tends to accumulate in low-pressure regions behind the impeller blades. Such gas accumulation forming so-called gas cavities, significantly alters impeller performance characteristics. We have computationally investigated gas-liquid flow generated by a Rushton turbine. Rotating Rushton turbine generates trailing vortices behind the blades, which enhance the ...
متن کاملSimulating Cooling Injection Effect of Trailing Edge of Gas Turbine Blade on Surface Mach Number Distribution of Blade
In this research, a gas turbine blade cascade was investigated. Flow analysis around the blade was conducted using RSM and RNG.K-ε turbulence modeling and it is simulated by Fluent software. The results were considered for the cases as Mach number loss at the trailing edge of blade caused by vortexes that were generated at the end of blade. Effect of cooling flow through the trailing edge on th...
